<\/h2>\n<\/h2>\nDiese Seite auf Deutsch sehen<\/a><\/p>\n Voir cette page en fran\u00e7ais<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The event “Swiss Choral Music from the 19th to the 21st Century”<\/strong> took place on the 17th-18th September<\/strong> and 3rd October 2021<\/strong>. A two-day conference at the University of Bern was followed by concerts at the Franz\u00f6sische Kirche Bern and the Aula of the University of Fribourg.<\/p>\n The conference<\/strong> focused on topics such as choral life in different regions of Switzerland from the 19th to the 21st century, present and past choral compositions, as well as social, political, and historical aspects related to choral societies and their activities.<\/p>\n The two concerts<\/strong> offered a rare opportunity to hear live vocal works by Swiss composers from the 19th century to our days, including two world premieres by the composers Leopold Dick and Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Michel, specially commissioned for this event.<\/p>\n This event is a cooperation between the Association Musica Classica Bern<\/a>, the research project CLEFNI<\/a> (Institute of Musicology, University of Bern<\/a>), the Chamber Choir of the University of Fribourg<\/a> and the HKB \u2014 Bern University of the Arts<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n Full conference programme (PDF)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Keynote Lectures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Round Table<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Conference Committee<\/strong> Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Performers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Organising Committee<\/strong>Swiss Choral Music from the 19th to the 21st Century<\/h2>\n
