Dr. Caiti Hauck is Director of Studies and Postdoctoral Research and Teaching Assistant at the Institute of Musicology at the University of Berne. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dictionary of Music in Switzerland. Her main area of research is music in Switzerland since the 19th century, with a particular focus on choral societies and choral activities from a socio-historical perspective. Her project CLEFNI – The choral life in the cities of Bern and Fribourg in the long nineteenth century was funded from 2019 to 2023 by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme under the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA). She completed her PhD at the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and partly at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) with the support of the CAPES Foundation (Brazilian Ministry of Education).
